No more Mise~

Went shopping ard in orchard during the weekend. In search of my Ayumi calendar. All is lost now....Arrrr......Mise Xclusive has closed down its sole outlet in Cineleisure. I had pinned high hopes of getting Ayumi's calendar there. I used to receive mise's website update every week, and as i didn't have the habit of checking my emails regularly. It has never dwell upon me that another J-pop merchandise shop has closed down in Singapore. Sadzz

Gosh...now i had to spend more time surfing around Internet in search of any stuff that is teeny bit related to Jpop. Not that im crazy abt that or what, i was never really hardcore abt Jpop but Ayumi's stuff are always so pretty and nice. Haiz....

Went to Takashimaya in search of the Wacoal lingerie line that Ayumi endorses in, but haiz...it seems that Singapore did not bring in that range. Haiz...Super Sadzz. Well~ i consoled myself by the fact that this has actually helped save my pocket from burning an enormous hole.

Ayu Ayu why is it so hard to find your presence here in Singapore?? It seems that Singapore has suddenly turn from Western craze-Jpop craze-Kpop craze and suddenly its back to western craze again. The shops in Heeren apparently has gone through a revamp, it has been ages since ive been there but ohmy, its turning into a shopping hub for the atas atas ppl. The level 4 which used to be known for their Jap Jap clothes and accessories is no longer around. Even 77th street looks like another atas shop.

There are more good brands entering our market in the past 5 years. Starting from Gap, Forever21, Pull n Bear, Fred Perry, Ed Hardy and the list goes on. Its a good thing, yeah, its a great thing actually. These are good brands that me myself would love to get my hands on. If only not for the fact that every top or bottoms in these shops cost above a cool $59 and above. $59? Average price you think, but ner-oh not to me. At this price, i would at most be willing to buy like 1 new piece every 2 months or so, and i dun think this habit will be good in helping the economy. Spree is very in nowadays, read about it in the news, in magazines, about how one can combine shipping and get great purchase from overseas. Great. But sometimes it just doesn't beats the feeling of physical shopping.

Yeah i admit im an ego person, and the one thing i love most, is the smile of a nice sales person. Which you would get from them, provided you make BIG purchases. You know how it feels like when u start trying on clothes and one by one you tell the sales person "i take it", im not talkin abt tai-tai lifestyle over here, im talking abt normal average gal shopping. With exclusive shops and unique Singapore designer shops sprouting around town, average gal mi has to like stay hidden in heartland malls.

Not that im complaining, and yes there is absolutely nothin wrong with heartland malls. But hey, if this goes on~, if Singapore really decides on the plan to change Orchard road into a high end place to attract uh-uh not Singaporeans, but the tourists, expats's wives, the atas, the act atas and of course, the rich and famous. Average Singaporeans is gonna ditch Orchard Road and treat it like its part of the IR.

I won't be surprise if my Daughter one day looks at me with her big doe eyes and ask, "Mummy, you mean you have been to THE Orchard road to ACTUALLY SSHOOPPP??"

That of course has just less than 1% chance of ever happening, coz baby R and i will strive to ensure we will not be peasants peasants.
Maybe im just being a sour grape, i should just stick my head back to neighbourhood shops and be contended with my trusty Giordano. Wait a minute, Heck even Giordano has their own Atas label shop in Raffles Shopping Centre. Faintz...

Ok too much nonsense already. Just shake me whenever u see me. The shock of not gettin my Ayumi calendar is only startin to set in.
