Im Disfigured.ArGH

My face has been on protest recently, argh...and i can do nothin about it except stare in the mirror and weep on the inside.

Accidentally made a deep cut on my double eyelid while using my H&M eye shadow pencil, i have no idea the pencil was so sharp at certain angle. Now one side of my double eyelid appears swollen.

Form the past 2 weeks, a small red blister have also started forming around the contours of my lips making my already thick lips look ridiculous. And as if that isn't enough, 2 small red blisters the size of a 5-cent coin starts appearing at the tip of my barely there cheekbone, on both cheeks somemore!!

All these occurs before i went to Leonard & Drake actually, so please dun misunderstood. Well, the facial therapist is saying that its eczema which almost everyone whom has seen my face agrees.

Im disfigured......Argh.......

Well, though eczema was never in my genes but everything points out to me that the culprit lies in my lack of self-discipline in maintaining the daily 2 litres H2O intake and choosing of a good mositurizer for my Sahara-dry skin.

Now, im even more guai, I have no choice. Have to put in even more effort in my daily water consumption, i have since raise my daily H2O intake from 300-400ml to 900-1200ml!! I know i will still need to push even harder, i wish i can be like everyone, every day drink gallons and gallons of water, but..but....its a habit. And just like quitting smoking, i need time.

Hope my skin is willing to give me one last chance, i guess my good genes can only bring me so far and now its up to my own effort.

As for mositurizer, i discovered that Laneige Sleeping Mask is super good. My sister bought it from Korea and gave it to us. I used it last night and my eczema seems to have healed 75%!!!

Praise the Lord!!! Wa Ha Ha Ha~~~ My sis must have said some prayers over it before passing it to us. Something like...God please use this to make my family members beautiful. Wa Ha Ha Ha~~.

But i will be monitoring it over the next 2-3 days. Gonna smear this good stuff every night.

My First Facial

Went for my first facial today!!!
With my wedding drawing near, 9 mths!! And my photoshoot drawing even nearer, 3mths!!! Baby n I decided it's time we seek early treatment in order to ensure we look our best.

I've been skeptical abt goin to spa my entire life, nt forgetting I've actually work in one before n knw how blood sucker they can be. Therefore I'm super duper glad I chosen the right one. Leonard & Drake skin care centre. Went there with R on Sun, the consultant was really friendly n though we express our interest in gettin a package as we were gettin married, they do not just push us into signing one, but rather she encourage us to go for a discounted trial first. As there was a DBS promo for a facial at jus $100, we decided to go fir that first.

Well in summary, they did a skin analysis, scan our face n during the hour long facial, the full focus was on the treatment, other than tellin me the names of the treatment she is puttin on my face n occasionally checking if I'm ok, she remain silent throughout. I really appreciate the silence. I have often heard from friends that most spa therapist wld keep talkin abt how ur face here no good there no good, need to upgrade n upgrade n upgrade. Our therapist recommended us a basic package which can be used till the day of our marriage. I'm so glad they r nt the kind that will exploit n make full use of the chance to squeeze us of our money.

It's a UOB sub card, I'm so so so incredibly happy!!! It's like there is an even stronger sense of belonging to R yet again. Arhhhh!!! And my first card is in PURPLE!! My FAV colour.

Went to a Hong Kong Cafe for dinner at Katong, its confirm le lar, i dun like food at HONG KONG CAFE, i used to think that only places like Xin Wang Cha Chan Teng will disappoint me, others shldn't be so bad, but NO~~~ Having given a try at like 4-5different HK cafe, the answer is final. THE FOOD SUCKS. Yes, the price is alrite alrite, but i think i rather splurge on food court food than, Thank u.

The curse of the iPhone

I can't believe it's been 10 days since the start of a new year. The days jus seem to be shorter n shorter each day. Have been really busy with life lately, think it's startin to take a toil on my lithe soul.

The emerge of iPhone has brings in extreme joy, superb entertainment, and of course another common thing for me and R to share in common :) Sweet.

Been getting much fewer winks in the past 2 weeks n it's makin me grouchy. *rOAr*

There r jus too many 'temptations' out there.

Everyday, I jus feel like having more time to complete more things at home. To get to finish my last Twilight novel: Breaking Dawn. I'm like stuck at the first page n this has never happen in my life before. Great books like this r always always devour of their every page, deeply absorb into the most inner of my complex emotional soul. But the iPhone has cause a stir in my whole internal n external body system.

I go work: starts watchin Taiwanese variety shows on my iPhone (I can to watch 31 different top Taiwan variety for e.g kang xi Lai le. Guess Guess Guess, Entertainment 100% n more)

At work: I refresh my tweet n facebook on a hourly basis.

In toilet, I start catchin on my e-books downloaded in my iPhone. (nt at wrk of course)

with friends: I tried to refresh my tweet, fb ,read online newspaper discreetly.

While jogging: listen to online variety show again.

The draw to use it is jus too strong, the attachment towards it jus grows stronger each day. It's like a very very trusty best friend that makes me feel half complete whenever I stop usin it. Brrr....tis is scary.but wat can I do, wat can I do.

Oh well, back to normal. Past week was great! I had TWO running session with R, I'm so proud of myself, i want my firm butt back so badly. (haha so nt shy)

Oh Yes. And I NEED SLEEP!! My eyes had been workin so much harder now and i seriously think my eyes r gettin smaller each day. NEED MORE SLEEP NEED MORE SLEEP.

XMAS CELEBRATIONS

I couldn't really remember when's the last time i really celebrated something with my church mates. We seem to have drifted apart in the year 08, 2009 was wayyy better. Really enjoyed spending time there, though there was no games, music, gift exchange, no bright xmas decorations, not even a sight of Xmas hats anyway. But warms the heart was the casual chit chat, the joy of seeing their kids running ard us, eating together like some kind of old school reunion.

This is probably the first time, an 'outing' was held without the 'key' people ard. At yet, i still say, the party was a blast.

Well, at times, we still manage to sneak in some fun by entertaining ourselves with cam-whoring.

Actually, i detest this pic coz my teeth looks awfully yellow. The rubber bands banded to my braces had turn yellow and its making me look like some sort of dirty fellow that dun brush her tootsie. Yucks. Im posting this pic here so as to serve a reminder to myself n others. Chio face and yellow teeth DO NOT MATCH, so everyone do remember to take care of ur teeth.

Anyway, i had the bands changed during my dentist appt 2 days ago, so my teeth are bright n white again now. YEAH!

Went to ViVocity Brotzeit to had a hearty Xmas dinner with R's friends. Pork Knuckles and German suasage are really juicylicious at Brotzeit. Poor R, gorged himself silly and then had to suffer the fate of a bursting doink doink tummy. We went to 2 dinner session that night, one to Brotzeit and then rush over a few doors down to meet my Family members for Xmas dinner again. Im so lucky to have both dinners being held at the same place. Coz i really didn't want to miss any of them. I miss my sister.

Xmas celebration with my ex-colleagues from Bio-essence. Listening to them narrate the latest happenings in my ex-office gotten me really nostalgic. Really miss them all, having work there was one of the best and yet worst thing that happen in my life.

Yeah, finally. A gathering with my Poly mates with 100% attendance. And Omigod, u know how much God loves me. He put both group of friends together for me once again. Both group celebration coincidentally falls on the same day at the same place. Love God so much. Muacks.

Anyway, i was really glad everyone could make it. Its really rare. Its so so hard to get everyone together. Played Taboo and eating potluck with them. I really can't to have my own place one day, so that we can a proper roof for such gathering.

And of course, my Xmas celebration with Secondary sch friends at Waraku.

I spent an awfully lotsa time on shopping. Therefore i must really credit Baby R for this. He is the best man. We shopped many many malls, and not even a word of complaint. Not forgetting, he happily fish out his wallet everytime something really really nice caught my eye.

We went to Sungei Wang Plaza, Times Square, Mid Valley Mega Mall and of course not forgetting Jalan Petaling. We even went to this new shopping mall which has a retail mix that is exactly the same like Singapore, forgot its name. Starts with P.

Anyway, R is the best companion. Though i complaint alot along the way there and when we were there, but strangely enough R seems to have in-built some sponge into his body or something. Every comment i made was suck in and just disberse out to dunno where.

KL here I come

Met up with Alyssa for dinner,my goodness, I'm so glad to still have a friend like her. Someone that is more like me. Confusing? Haha.whatever. Think she will always be the only friend whom I can shared my love for dance related stuff and jpop/kpop.


Made my first invitation in asking her to be my bridesmaid aka as sister. Will be inviting the rest one after the other personally.

Excited!!

I'm going KL on Wednesday!! Now this is even more exciting, I may nt be going to the most exotic places but to be able to have a getaway with jus me and R is jus incredible. It's been almost a year since we had went for an overseas trip together.

A good shortaway with the man I love is the best remedy to shake off the PMS feeling I've been having recently.

Baby blurted out that KL is having sale!!! Omigod, Jessica u need to get a grip. Firstly, we shld help boost up the economy in OUR country not Others. And Only the necessary should be bought really, getting married soon, need to save up girl. And necessity means clothes, food and shelter. Shelter hmm... Im totally nt interested on staying there, no thank u. But clothes and food!! Necessity baby.

Ok. I'm gonna buy only the necessity. Lotsa lotsa necessity.

Braces part three

Woo hoo~making my first blog entry using my IPhone. Yeah !!! Baby & I were part of the 1500 at paragon to welcome the birth of m1 iPhone. In fact, we were the fourth or fifth in the queue. It feels great to look back at the thousands that were queuing BEHIND us. "Haha suckers! Happy waiting" I was thinkin in my heart when baby and I stepped out of the bloody hot M1 store 20 mins after midnight.

Anyway I need to blog on my braces. Am still goin thru the phrase of gettin used to my ugly Betty look. Eating is now a not so tiresome affair, food still gets stuck but I'm kinda used to it already. It was kinda funny at first actually, it's like in every meal I felt that only 50 - 70% of the food truly gets in to my stomach coz the rest always gets to hide behind the many white walls. My food plays hide n seek with me 3 times a day. It is pretty convenient for busy executives that r on the go, coz the lack of brushin after ever meal will guarantee u a surprise treat later, jus stick ur tongue ard there, goreng a bit and there u r, the small morsel of teriyaki chicken which u have been leavin for tea break.

I was drinkin my mango smoothie with IQ balls after lunch yesterday and as I've already brush my teeth , I thot jus a rinse after my drink will do. Alas, I was enjoyin my Kway Chap dinner when I felt somethin hard n round inside my mouth. I spit it out and there, the bright red IQ ball stare back at me like it was a joke. Placing it gingerly between my upper n lower molar teeth, I crushed it nicely, ensuring that's the end of it.

Dun Force Me

My guess is that half the Singaporeans here are guilty of the charge of smuggling snacks or drinks into the cinema at some point in life.

When i saw this Theatre Ban popping up on my msn homepage,my eyeballs roll up so high my colleagues probably thot im having an epilepsy or something.

Pot calling the kettle black eh.

IMHO, a movie theatre is for movies, just like a swimming pool is for swimming. In this era, where piracy is everywhere, where online downloads sites are being created by the minute, by the second every day. Instead of trying their best to encourage us movie-goers to continue be their die-hard fans. Instead of trying to make movie-going a more value-adding experience, a more enjoyable form of entertainment.

Cinema owners are killing it by wasting their time on stupid things like banning snacks in cinema, confiscating outside food & drinks.

Its like. HELLO~~ u screen ur movies, i watch what u screen, what the fuck u bother where my food & drinks comes from. U mean u rather i stay at home, rent a video of the latest blockbuster and drink myself drunk with all the NTUC bought Coke & Twisties.

Oh God. No wonder cinemas are not raking in big money these days.

Their effort in stopping piracy. Playing stupid cartoony videos that makes u sneer and laugh and than.put the message at the very back of your mind. In fact, i would purposely go home & download yet another movie just so to prove that i do not respond to such 'commands'

Ur popcorn set eventually cost even higher than ur movie tickets, and fuck, u realise ur movie ticket price is escalating year after year too. So while cinema owners are pushing the blame to piracy for causing a drop in profit due to lesser movie-goers. The high prices is everything is not exactly helping.

I would never understands how they justify their food & beverage prices. Other than 'GREED', there seem no other reasons. Yes. Convenience comes at a price. But shouldn't that be for people whom are too busy or too lazy to get their snacks from elsewhere, and therefore u r charging people for convenience. But if outside food & drinks are banned, so isn't that forcing hungry patrons to buy from u.

Oh yes, pasta at $5.90, not expensive u say, baked rice at $5.90 not expensive too. So, in ur bid to expand the food varieties on ur menu, we as patrons have to bear the overpowering smell of pasta and pizzas, and 'stingy' patrons like me will have to meditate and focus on what's in front of me in order to not be affected by the wavering smell and at the same time control my own tummy from protesting too loudly.

Fantastic movie experience eh.

I definately would stick to my stands on smuggling snacks when necessary. Oh God, why can't cinema be more retro and stick to their roots of selling kacang putih at $1 a packet.

Our Taiwan wedding package. Can't wait to go Taiwan next year, it will not only be a bridal shoot, it will be a mini honeymoon too.

After 5 years of being in Christ. Im finally Baptized. Am really happy to go through this special moment with my fiance.

Never expected to see my sister, my ex-cell leader and 2 of my cell members to be there to support me!! My church is situated at Jurong West, and am really thankful to them for taking their time off and making the trip all the way down from Expo down here.

Im really happy to see my sister actually, i had not informed any other family members so it came as a surprise to really see her there. Can see that she is proud of me, and that makes me feel proud of myself too. Hiak Hiak.
