Brush with Death

Saw this weak housefly while shopping for ingredients for our homemade laksa. As we r in the frozen food dept, R deduced the fly is close to freezing, i guess as much as well. Poor chap.

Anyway, It's the first time I ever gotten so close to one, they usually fly away before u r even 5cm close.







Trust me, my iPhone was like really really close to it, I even tried killing it by pressing a pkt of tau pok on it. (what! 早登极乐， no need be housefly ma) But guess it's a housefly with backbone, it hardly flinch at my attack, so i decide to let it off.

Dun think I Christian dunno what is 放下屠刀，立地成佛ok.



Tried washing the toilet at my 'new' home again. Yes :) it's AGAIN. I tried washing it last week, brush n brush, scrub n scrub, end up nearly dieded due to over inhale of the fumes that comes out from the toilet bleach which I had happily spray around generously thinking that more means toilet will be cleaner n whiter.

What's worse, I accidentally push the door close so the fumes was all around me. It was really bad, my 眼泪鼻涕直流leh，just can't stop them. Cough and cough like mad. I really really thought im gonna die in the small bathroom cause the fumes were choking and I couldn't breathe, cuz every breath would just result in inhaling more of the toxifying bleach, coughing causes me to breathe in more fumes too, I had to use my every remaining strength to push open the door, open tap n quickly rinse the bleach away.

Never knew how much danger a cleaner is exposing herself too everyday.

Anyway, this time round, I dilute my toilet bleach with detergent cuz my mum say that helps to remove stains :) The dilution helps reduce the smell of bleach n I'm more careful in the amt of bleach I used. Haha, R is gonna be so proud of me! Cuz I'm closer n closer in being the 进得了厨房，出得了厅堂的女人

Unnecessary 3D

It's hard to start once you've stopped. But I also believe it's hard to stop once you've start. Wish to get back the momentum of blogging. Miss the fun in penning down moments of my life. Love to read my own back entries, laughing at memories.

Finally had a chance to go dating with new hubby, haha! Rarely had a chance to spent whole day with hubby. Watched 'The Child's Eye' in 3D at Plaza Sing. Title sounds interesting but at the end of it, there is jus a weak linkage of the plot to the title. Trailers seem so good, but it's plot n thrills pales in comparison with other horror movies. Had expected more from the Pang brothers really.

There were a few moments where I really did cringe in fear but the scare factor seems to be a duplicate from Thai\HKG horror movies.

What's worse of all, is that it's available only in 3D! It's like 'what the...'

It's not like there is lots of gory, blood and action. Is it really necessary for us to watch Rainie walk around an empty hotel in 3D. Imagine watching Paranormal in 3D. And this is only available in 3D. So the directors is like forcing us to watch it in 3D even though it's completely unnecessary.

I doubt filming it in 3D is for cinema patrons to have better movie experience, it's jus their way to charge more expensive tickets lor. And they blame people for illegal downloads.

Well I did ended up watching the show anyway but it's becoz I thot since there's a need to film it in 3D, i assume the plot, sound effects, visuals mus be super good lor. Wrong!

Bo Liao Part 1: Dog bark to empty space. Empty chair 7-8 metres in front start shifting TOWARDS them. All actors remain rooted, staring at empty chair. Turn to run only when 'something' hurls the chair at you.

Bo Liao Part 2: Show takes a sudden twist and becomes Resident Evil. Main actress friends who are supposed to be safe and sound in hospital ends up being captured by ghost, and returns as zombie to harm Main Actress. Main Actress whom is in the haunted hotel herself has nothin happen to her, can even bare-fist fight, punch and kill her zombie friend, twice.

To give it credit, the plot is funny lar at some part, cuz it doesn't makes sense ma.

Wasted $14! 2 tickets $28 leh! Wa Liao~~ I dun mind watching movie, dun mind paying extra for 3D movies but it mus actually be good and worth it rite.

Married life is good, but the feeling is still pretty fresh alright. Everytime I'm out with R, I feel like we were still back in our dating stage, its like the getting married part is just another activity we have done. As if I'm still gonna be heading home later after a day out, home as in my own home in sunny east side. Maybe it's due to the fact I'm stayin with his family members, so need a longer time to feel the belonging of being a part of another family. Hee, thats a good thing actually for now.

Home doesn't feel so relax, so comfortable YET, but I know it jus takes time. I sometimes wonder if that's how my sis-in-law felt when she's staying with us.

Some unhappiness has happen in the household, hope she will not disappoint the people who care for her again. 人长大了，该为自己前途想想了。

Married Women

Yes, Yes, Im a married woman now. Taking my first step into the first instalment of my ever after fairytale. So many happy things has happen unil I don't really know where should I start blogging about.

There are so many people to thank, which I'm gonna have to spend some time meeting them over dim-sum to thank.

Now first some pics from my most wonderful, most amazing Hen's night. I have never ever imagine that my Hen's night would be so much fun. Friends specially prepared a deck of polker cards which has a number of challenge cards which me and my fellow jie-mei (we are having our hennies together!!) has to pick and choose, we ended our night with lotsa games and dares, it is simply indescribable fun.

I had never thought that I would actually be having a Hen's Nite cuz Im not really a fun fun kinda person. So was everything was really really a very very pleasant surprise.








I had never knew how much stress the wedding preparation was giving until the day before the wedding and after. Though I did not suffer from insomnia cuz I only get to catch 1.5 hrsof sleep, my heart was palpitating pretty hard alright, it was super scary. The night before is like some kind of dooms day. My mind keep thinking what have I not done yet, and there are really much things not done.

Well what people said do makes a lot of sense, really. That its expected that not all things will run perfectly smooth on your wedding, you gotta expect the unexpected. True, yes, I can now say its really true. But really, these words should only be mention after the wedding and not before. Cuz when a bride is lost in thoughts, nothing you say will really gets in, cuz we will always think that YOU DUN UNDERSTAND. It's like giving advice to a friend that has just been ditched.

Well, so in short, not all things run well as expected, actually majority did not went well, but as everything just happen in a rush and before I knew it, everything was over and I am Mrs Lee already. I manage to grasp the meaning of 'to expect the unexpected'. But that is as I've said, after the wedding.

Lost

It's been so long since I blog, lost the touch to connect myself online.

Getting married in a few weeks time. Finally. Tried my best, my very very best to reach home earlier, to feel what it feels like to be 'at home' foe the last few weeks.

Gonna miss alot alot of things. Knew no matter what, it will always be diff next time.

It's getting harder to breathe at work lately, think there must be an inner monster in me. Am having too many thoughts in my head.

Tea event tmr again. Hahahaha.

Always a small insignificant fry. All the events you handle are small events. So what if you have been in the company for a year and has handle more than 10 events so far, they are all SMALL events.

Tried applying for another job recently, when I came across the qns, what's the greatest achievement I have done in current job. Realized my past 1 year has been a blank, my past 3 years has been a blank, my past 7 years since graduation has been a blank.

Feel so sick n tired, so unjustified. If 面壁思过 is a solution, oh lord jus let me' be stuck in an earthquake than.

In recent months, I'm a happy girl when it comes to friendship. So treasure the friends I have.

But 一想到一些假情假义的sisters, 我就想笑。
日久见人心. So glad so glad I made the comments that night. Or else I won't know how much more time and money I would have wasted on 你们这些千金小姐.

Hey 26yr old

I hate dieting.

I hate the fact that I actually have a very valid reason for going on a diet.

Don't u jus hate it when all junk food starts becoming super cravelicious, once u start makin up ur mind u r gonna be on diet.

Got only 2 months left. Am gaining weight instead of losin them. My arms r already looking really housewife lookin.

Suddenly I start noticing how karma has finally hit me. It's like overnight, I look into the mirror n realise, 'oh man, I look really 26' the consequence of late nite sleeping is finally takin it's toil on my crumbling face.

I'm not exaggerating. I used to look into the mirror n gush at how cute n young I look, my features r like, like, like ayumi, like 伊能静, always youthful n fresh lookin regardless how old I become. But now... Man, i look like a 26 yr old.

It's sad man.

Enjoy 99% off your favourite Luxury brands. Came across this when I was reading Her World a year back. I have always been logging in to this private site by Reebonz (pronounce as ribbonz), and I mus say they have very pretty stuff, imagine Prada, Miu Miu at 40% off!!

Their sale on a brand usually last jus one or two days, and most of the time, 2-3 hours after it's launch, the good ones would already be snapped up. Which explains why I've never bought anything from them (and of course save myself from gettin myself into a quarrel with R)

Boliao dài zhi

Supporting R at a basketball match rite now. Jus like the good ole times.

I really really need to exercise, but the lazy bum in me is ..well still lazy.

Came across a Sale by Joop, dun really fancy their clothes but I was tryin on a nice denim dress when I start having a good look at myself in the mirror. My thigh looks really...um.. Lumpy. Yea dats the word. Lumpy. My calf is omg, looking forever bloated.

So I agreed without a second though to go cycling at pulau ubin with my friends.

Really got lotsa mosquitos, big one somemore. Insect repellent doesn't seem to work on these strong fellas.

The island still looks great, very clean in fact. All thanks to the various cleaning excursion held by schools. I remember going for once in my schooling days too. (beam proudly)

Well, from the recent media Hoo ha by the media n public backlash on my church, it jus shows me how much the world prefers to listen to news that r negative, untruth, news that r twisted, news dat r wat I called 断章取意。

If u read forums or even facebook which allows u to leave a comment on words/pictures u post. U will realise that man r given the freewill to post negative or positive comments. All's fair.

But to block off positive comments n blowing up jus the few negative comments. That's jus PATHETIC.

Hmm... If church members r really unhappy at the way the money is being used, than why is the church still having high attendance at every service every week? Where's the unhappy people?

Hmm...

U can never please everyone at the same time. Even in a family, there will be squibbles about how money is to be used. Church is my family, so I'm wondering sometimes, why r the media dabbling into our family affairs?

It's like the A.W.A.R.E bah, an organisation that has always been so low key is suddenly becoming everyone's 茶余饭后的笑话。and it's all thanks to who?

Finally finish my third day of OT, one more day to go!! Jiayou Jessie, Ganbatte!!

Legs aching mad. Stand for 11 over hours doin cashiering, lunch n dinner break was jus abt 15-20mins each. Like machiam army days. Really 佩服 my full timers retail staff.

Do felt 怪怪 in my heart , cuz can feel like they dun respect us office staff sometimes, maybe I think too much, but I kinda have the vibes that they feel that we office ppl earn more than them , sit down whole day , no stress, not like them, and unfairness in their heart starts setting in somehow little by little.

I have worked as retail staff before too so can totally understand how they feel, well dats the reason y I quited n look for office job.

They wldn't know of course of the fact that.

-certain office staff get lowly paid. (me)
- OT cannot claim money (me)
-one person do many people job yet no one will remember or say thanks (me)
-no uniforms and have to spent own money to buy decent clothes. U work in fashion line, try wear ugly ugly to work lor, not only some evil eyes will give u the um.. Evil look or worse ur boss will put ur name at the very back of the promotion list aka 被公司冷藏. Haha

My clothes nt very pretty la, but humans ma, got our on and off days but sometimes certain ones not so bad ley haha.so my point is, see, got uniform so much better.

I dunno when I will get to have clothing allowance too lor. Mmm... Envy... Mmm...sob sob.

There's many more to tell of course, someone shld come out with a book for that.

And of course there r pros n cons in everything in life. Take for e.g, my pros in working during this during this long weekend would be the extra cash earned n free meals (lunch n dinner provided :) ) so worthwhile :$

Cons of working OT wld be the fact that I have missed the chance to buy a new cheap n good camera ($149 for a Canon Powershot lor, DSLR at $349!!Can u imagine!!) License to Play exhibition at Suntec AND the big 70% off sale on Kate Spade, Coach and GUCCI which is held at M Hotel today! Now I know why everyone else can afford Gucci except for me, I dun go overseas so I missed the good deals AND everytime such fantastic deals comes abt Im either broke or working.

My cons is longer than my pros?go figure k.

Am I too unpretty? Am I too uninteresting? Too talkative? Am I too boring? Am I too fat? Too short? Too plain? Or perhaps it's jus everything.

Why else is ur eyes always not on me? I can stop spending, but wld u look at me more if I dun dress nice? Wld u look at me MORE if I'm not in make-up?

I knew the answer. It makes no difference n u wld love me jus as much. Ur heart say yes but ur eyes say otherwise.

It's amazing the effect u hv on me. I smile when u smile, Im angry when u r angry, I'm even more upset whenever I knew dat. I hv made u upset.

Sometimes wat I wan is jus a brief glance that tells me u rather be with me than at else where. Words r cheap.

Wld u rather be with someone that is willing to spent 24 hrs with u but treats u like a fixture or spent 10 mins with someone that makes u feel that u r the most precious, most beautiful thing in their eyes.

Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Who's my beholder? There is actually a difference between a companion and a lover. I actually happen to prefer being both.

I thot PMS comes only before ur period, apparently this time round it comes n forgets to leave.

Nails

Soak off my gel nails this afternoon. Though I love the look but dun think I'm gonna do it often.

1. It doesn't last. My nail bed grows out after two weeks n though I pretend n ignore it, the harden gel will still crack as water n frequent washing of hands weakens the gel. So to spend more than twice the amt of a manicure is simply unjustifiable IMO.

2. It's super harmful to ur nails. Much buffing is done in order for the gel to be removed. The acetone from the soak dries up ur nail cuticle too. My nails has once again became ultra thin, n nw I could easily cut my face while doing facial cleansing as the edges gets pretty sharp with it being thin.

3. It takes a longer time to soak off. I had to waste one hour of my time jus to remove them.

Taiwan PhotoShoot

Was just thinking perhaps its time to write a little abt my wedding photoshoot in Taiwan.

Trip was great in overall actually, though there were some small areas like the photoshoot part which kinda breaks me down a little on the inside but hey this trip really gives us quality time together. I'm like super look forward to my honeymoon already, haha.

And now, some of my Taiwan memories~



Their pork floss egg crepes taste absolutely yummy and is nothin like the horrible ones sold at Shihlin Taiwan food here. It's chewy and sweet and has huge chunks of meat and eggs of the right consistency.




Taiwan peole really adores keeping doggie as pets, everywhere i go, its like i see cute doggies in 1 out of 10 shops, and for every one 100 metres i wld definately see someone with a doggie.

Taiwan stuff are actually not as cheap as I had expected, but walking so many places i would still say yeah they do have quite a lot of cute and cool stuff. For all who have not been to Taiwan and is planning to go soon, my advice, check with the weather man and forum for advise on weather so u'll be preparing the right outfit (i nearly freeze). And one IMPORTANT thing,

ALWAYS EXCHANGE UR CURRENCY BEFORE U STEP OUT OF THE AIRPORT.

We were so strapped for Taiwan dollar, we had to borrowed from the bridal shop staff several times.
